REVIEW: Rumoured by The Mancaruso Sisters

Well, this wasn't great.

I was really enjoying it until around halfway through. That is when the story, TO ME PERSONALLY, was no longer good enough to outweigh the poor writing.

I have a feeling a lot of people will like this one, though. For me it went off the rails in a way that was so unbelievable it wasn't fun. For you, it may get crazy in a fun campy way. It is worth the time to find out; it is a short, fast-paced read.

I love mixed media in books, so the articles were a nice touch. The writing was also better in them. I  think the authors do a better job at the short, punchy moments like those.

Why was Leo there. What did he add. What did any of Naomi's friends add, actually? I feel like a lot of time was spent introducing them each time, and then they just do nothing and disappear. Also, the in-depth descriptions of what everyone is wearing and looks like got really funny to me. Like, we are at the very end, the truth has been revealed. But like we GOTTA know that Harlow has some sick copper lowlights and extensions.

Naomi really got lucky. I swear that girl was just guessing most of the time. She is the main character though, so she gets it right.

I really didn't like the Colton reveal. I don't think it really added much to the story. Just kinda icky for no reason.

Or whatever.

IDK man you could do worse. This isn't terrible.

  Oh noooo, the first Frieda McFadden book I didn't like. I am so sad. SUMMARY: Blake Porter is a high level business guy. Marketing? I think it was marketing. Review: It Should Have Been You by Andrea Mara

  This was so good!!! I had a blast!!! SUMMARY: Folks, so much happens in this book. There are so many characters. I will just give a very brief overview, I suppose. Susan: Lives at 26 Oakpark. Has Husband Jon and Baby Bella. Two sisters, Leesa and Greta. Fond of sending gossipy texts. Savannah: Lives at 26 Oakpark....but like a different one. Mostly alone, very mysterious. What happened to her? The story basically revolves around these two...but like also about everyone they have ever met. Most basic outline of events - Susan gets real messy on WhatsApp, which is apparently a thing people use. (Also apparently people still use Snapchat??? I thought that was dead and gone.) People get BIG MAD about this message. Mad enough to straight up want to kill Susan...or, you know, the woman who lives at 26 Oakpark. MANY EVENTS UNFOLD. Review: Best of All Worlds by Kenneth Oppel

  Welcome to THE DOME dun dun dun SUMMARY: We follow Xavier Oak, a 13 year old boy with a blended family. He is currently on a summer trip with his father and pregnant stepmother at their lake cottage. He is NOT happy with this as he wanted to stay home with his mother and brother and play D&D with notable Cool Girl Serena. So he wakes up on the second day of the trip ready to text Serena about their campaign. BLEHEHEHEHEH That's right. There is a whole goat outside. The lake? Gone. They wander around for a few days. They manage to figure out that they are in a dome due to rocks and math. UHOH! Right when you thought things couldn't get worse, stepmom goes into labor. Three years pass.
